Hey, my names Matt Walker, i'm 19 years old, from Coventry, in England. Outside of WoW, well, i don't really do much, i don't drink alcohol, so friday night parties are pretty much a no go for me, and i go to the gym 5-6 times a week, and enjoy playing Wii with my little brother! I also work for my Dad on an Internet business, which to be fair, is the easiest and most laidback thing i've ever done.
Currently i have no plans to quit the game within the next 5 or so years, but no one can look that far ahead, so the best answer i could possibly give you without looking into the future is 'as long as the game is up and running, so will i be.' Interms of goals in game, i would love to see the endgame content, and i would love to do it in a solid guild. I also enjoy the raid achievement side of the game. Raid achievements are great, they are a challenge first and foremost, but some achievements give great rewards, such as mounts, but also set outstanding guilds apart from other guilds.
I also love the social side of the game, i play the game easily 12+ hours a day, so the social side is very important to me! I love hanging out on vent, and just having fun with the guild, whatever that might be.

Talent Choices
I chose Blood tanking because i believe it is the best single target tank spec currently available for Death Knights. I Believe this because it has excellent cooldowns such as vampiric blood which greatly increase the healing i receive, making it easier on healers, aswell as having Hysteria, which buffs the groups dps, and i also have Abominations might, which can provide a good 10% attack power to the raid.
In terms of my specific glyphs: I firstly use vampiric blood, because the extra seconds on the extra HP and + healing received is vital and essential i believe to be an effective blood tank. I use the death strike glyph because i like the extra damage on the strike, and i don't think there are any other glyphs available that provide a good increase such as this. I use Runestrike as my last major because the 10% crit, i believe, is amazing. This is due to the fact that runestrike is my main damage ability, and threat ability, so when it procs, getting a crit is always nice and can boost my threat by alot.
In terms of Minor glyphs: I use glyph of raise dead so i can raise a minion and then use death pact to get 40% of my health back in dire situations, which i would be unable to do otherwise, I use Horn of Winter purely so i don't have to rebuff it for a further minute, and then i use glyph of pestilence to help spread my diseases further, and purely because i don't believe there is a better minor glyph currently available.
The way in which i feel deathknight tanking is weak, is purely due to the lack of block, and because our survival cooldowns, such as icebound fortitude, are on too long a cooldown compared to what they used to be.I also really want a snap aggro ability, diseases are bad.

Past Guilds
I first started playing when the boulderfist server came out, so it would be around 4 years ago.
At the start of Wotlk, i was in a guild called operation eskimo, on magtheridon EU. In here, i finished glory of the raider(25), on my shaman, aswell as finishing immortal runs 3 times, however this shaman got banned, which led me to creating my deathknight, the character i am applying on atm. The reason the shaman got banned is very simple, due to the fact that while raiding ulduar on the PTR, i basically melted under pressure, and made a childish move of attempting to sell my character and leaving the guild. The guild now dislikes me very much, and i know that this does not look good on my application, but i can guarantee you that i have matured and learned from the experience and can guarantee you a solid player to take with you into icecrown and beyond.

The reason for me leaving our current guild is simple, i joined it as a friend 3-4 months ago, The guild only raids 10man once a week, and 25man once a week, priding itself on being a friends guild. Currently we have cleared togc10 5/5, with killing festergut and rotface in 25man, and wipes on putricide, with a clear of 10man plagueworks, but i believe that i am capable of killing the bosses currently available. As most of the guild is made up of friends, sometimes friendships get prio over skill, which has halted our raids, aswell as the one raid a week deal. Also, the way the DKP worked was wrong in our opinion, as every raid, you got 100dkp to spend as you like for the 1 raid that week, and the week after it reset, and loot could be achieved every week in a row, whereas someone else could get nothing, or worse, someone who hadn't raided in months could come and take a very wanted item.

Raiding Experience
In Classic, i cleared Zul'gurub, Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, Ahn'qiraj 20 and upto Princess Huhuran in Ahn'qiraj 40. I did not get into Naxx 40, however i have cleared it at level 70, which, has no relevance.
In TBC, i cleared Karazhan, Serpentshrine Cavern, Tempest Keep (Kael'thas, pre a few longer phases/less Advisor HP), Mount Hyjal, Black Temple, however only went up to Felmyst in Sunwell.
In wotlk, i so far have cleared Naxx (3 immortal runs), Malygos, Sartharion (3 drakes inc.) The above were all completed with Operation Eskimo, on a resto shaman, on Magtheridon EU.
I have cleared Ulduar on 25man (also did FL, mimiron, vezax on the PTR), but have not done any achievements, as the time between Ulduars release and TOC's subsequent release was the time me levelling my DK. In TOC, i have done 5/5 togc on 10man (insanity), and have cleared toc on 25man, but have not stepped foot into togc25, due to the limitations of my guild, as noted above. In ICC, i have done 9/12 of the available bosses in 10man, and 8/12 in 25man, with lana'thel, Lich King, sindragosa and valithria left. All of the above, from Ulduar and further was on my Deathknight. Have had some 80% wipes on valithria, nothing too serious.

Consumables
I currently use Rhinolicious Wyrmsteak in raids, as i am behind in Expertise rating atm, i use Flask of Stoneblood, which is by far the best tanking flask, and i regularly use Indestructible Potions, which give me 3500 armor, which can be lifesaving against a hardhitting boss.

Expectations (from me)
I currently, and always have 30k+ gold, so therefore, buying resistance gear, if needed for any encounter, would be no problem at all. I also come to raids with flasks to last me all day, as well as Rhinolicious wyrmsteak (to get to the expertise dodge cap), as well as indestructible potions to pop at the start of the fight, so the cooldown is ready when its most needed, as an extra 3k armor could be essential on surviving that huge boss hit.

In terms of what this can offer, i believe i can offer a Solid Tank, who is always there on demand, will never miss a raid, which i can guarantee to (allowing for the occasional hospital trip etc), aswell as a guy who will socialise well, be on basically all day every day, hanging around on vent, getting to know you, and just not raidlogging basically.

I can also offer you a dedicated raider, ready for going further into icecrown, always prepared with flasks, fully enchanted gear, my own food, indestructible potions etc.

I hope, that from my previous points, that you can see i am in this for the long run, and that i have a passion for the game itself, not just for logging on, taking loot, and logging off. I'm here to make the guild a home, not a loot pinata.

Expectations (from Serendipity)
I'm looking for a solid guild, which i can make into my 'home'. I'm not here to just log on for raid and then just log off, i'm here to socialise and get bosses down first and foremost. I'm also expecting a guild who has good teamwork in getting bosses done, No bosses would ever get killed if everyone was amazing, but thinking off their own backs, PvE is all about working together, such as gaining resistance buffs on Festergut, or working together to combine oozes on Rotface, or co-ordinating whos healing the next saurfang mark, or if you were to let them die, the team play part of the game is essential to get anything done. I'm also hoping to make the guild my destination for cataclysm aswell, so i'd like to think the guild is a guild to settle in, and get ready for the icc hardmodes and future expansions. And i believe Serendipity satisfies all of these criteria.

English Skills
Being from England, I believe my written and spoken English is excellent. I am currently a raid leader in my guild, so speaking comes naturally and clearly and am not afraid to do it. Of course I know when to shut up.

Theorycrafting
For theorycrafting, i use Elitistjerks and Ensidia.com for rotations, BiS gear, gemming, stats, etc, and i'm a major lore/game fan in itself, so i check mmo-champion/worldofraids every 10-20mins or so.

Professions
450 Enchanting and 450 Jewelcrafting
450 in Cooking, Fishing and First Aid

Downside to my character
However, A downside to my character however is the lack of dps offspec gear, which, is purely down to the guild i am being in currently, is not a hardcore guild at all, and i have been not that worried about it at all. I'm not saying that i can't play DPS, i'm just saying i don't have the gear for the content you are doing currently, but geared up i would be more than happy to play this spec if needed.

Other
Achieved Gladiator in Season one of Arena on my Shaman, Kaxxia. I am also currently the highest honor killed death knight in the World, sitting at 235k Kills atm, which, in no way shows my skill, but it hopefully shows my dedication to the game.

My Role in a raid
I believe my role in a raid would primarily be tanking, which would mean keeping aggro of the mobs at hand, and doing my job assigned. Outside of this, i survey the fight around me, see if anything is going wrong, also to adapt to any situation at hand which is thrown at me.

We do look for a tank and might consider a DK tank tho we might prefer a pala tank as it seems

Your XP, gear and attidue towards the game is great.

Please give us a bit of time to decide as we dont take lightly our applications espcially if its a tank position

What about other places? is that an apply to Serendipity or a mass apply you posted on every high end guild that need a tank?

Also, if you get accepted, what race you going to choose?

Hey, i have applied to 2 other guilds i believe it is, however i withdrew those after they didn't need a tank, so the only current outstanding one is to you, and you alone, so if i don't get accepted i'd be staying on outland, and to not get some confusion, i applied to those other guilds one after each other, i don't believe in applying to a lot of guilds and then picking, i handpicked guilds to apply to, and applied one after each other, and if declined i moved on, i currently have none on the go, and saw your recruitment thread for a pally tank on the 'looking for horde' forums this morning, so thought i'd give it a shot.

In terms of race, i would either go orc or tauren, tauren obviously for the extra HP, and orc for the expertise racial with shadows edge (with which it would bring me to dodge cap), however i may change weapon, such as the new arena weapon or cryptmaker, in which case the bonus would be negated, i'd also consider going orc if i was going to be dpsing at all, because the pet damage bonus + passive AP trinket are awesome and are by far the best dps race for a DK.

Talking about DPS. natually on some fights you will have to DPS, you mentioned that your gear isnt good enough to apply as DPS, fair enough, but how is your dps gear? is it ToC? badge gear? 251 gear?
